Desktop Hydro Power assessment
Landowners with a river flowing across their land may want to establish whether they have a practical and economic energy source. Feasibility studies can prove expensive and no one wants to waste money on a report that may indicate there is no economic return or there are other barriers preventing development at the proposed site. The assessment offers a ‘first estimate’ of potential power outputs to inform the decision whether to proceed to a full feasibility study. For this assessment we do require payment in advance.
Hydro Power Site visit
For those sites where development appears viable, we offer and recommend a site visit to check the preliminary assessment along with a range of other local factors which could affect project economics and practicality.
You can download further information about our Hydropower assessment services here: DARE Hydropower Hydro Flyer.pdf
If you're interested in commissioning an assessment, please download our Hydropower pre-visit questionnaire so that we can carry out a desktop study and provide a quotation for a site visit assessment should a potential be identified.

Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments
CfSH is the single national standard for sustainable homes, used by home designers and builders as a guide to development, and by home-buyers to assist in their choice of home. DARE as Code for Sustainable Homes Assessors can help developers, architects and self-builders to achieve the required code standard. We can work collaboratively with you or your design team to determine where extra points can be achieved to help you progress through the levels of the code. DARE offers both design and construction stage assessments and certification.

“Thank you very much for the comprehensive report - I am really impressed with the level of detail and practical information included.” Woodah Farm Devon Wildlife trust.
“Without DARE we would not have made it.” Sandford Primary School Head Teacher, Mr Wilson Forster.
“I would recommend DARE services. It offered an unbiased prospective and I was able to discount certain forms of renewable energy on a cost/efficiency basis.” Jane Taylor Rocknell, Manor Farm.
"I hope that you will forgive me for saying so, but I hadn’t expected anything quite as comprehensive and thorough as the report you’ve compiled, so I am really very grateful. Once again, many, many thanks." Kevin Ginsberg, Miniature Pony Centre
